Thai reflexotherapy that proved to me that "Smiles come from Feet" - at Amazonia Aquapark Timisoara

"I was 17 when I first heard about reflexotherapy and that there are dots in the sole that correlate with each organ. I was in high school computer science, and as a very logical person, my first reaction was: "well yeah, it's voodoo, it can't be true".

Afterwards, the universe sent me to Thailand, and the TMC Chiang Mai school where I did my specialization course in Thai, took us to a course on observing on cadavers at the Chiang Mai Medical University.

There were several exposed bodies, but in one there was only the nervous system extracted so that the nerve circuits could be seen more clearly. So, I could see for myself how from the brain, a bundle of nerves goes out from the brain, and from the spinal column a nerve goes out one by one and innervates the organs in the area. Well, so far, it's one-way communication, i.e. the brain sends the command to the organ.

But as we well know in nature, the Divine has made everything equal, so the communication between the organs and the brain is also made both ways. Thus, in the body exhibited we saw how from each organ a nerve goes out, and in 95% 95% proportion, these pass through the legs and in the soles back to the brain.

That's when I understood why this science is called reflexology - because, in fact, in this alternative therapy, we intervene by massaging the soles of the foot in the organ's response to the brain. Hence the name of the therapy: foot reflexology - that is, the reflex of the organs to the brain which is found in the sole"he told me Elena Nastacafounder of the Center and School of Thai Therapy in Timisoarawhen he picked me up from the airport two days before.

He made me even more curious after he told me about a customer of theirs who came to Thai Therapy only by your wife's mouth:

He had a 7-millimeter kidney stone and two smaller ones.

He was scheduled for laser surgery to break up the stones and remove them.

He didn't like the idea of intervention, but he didn't believe in alternative therapies either.

His wife, however, convinced him to come and give it a try. As luck would have it, the doctors postponed his surgery for a week. Although Elena would have needed 10 sessions to remove the stones, she accepted the challenge to do at least 5 sessions - as many as could be done that week. At the first session he noticed that the reflex points correlated with the bladder, ureters and kidneys were extremely contracted, but he also had problems with other internal organs, which meant that his situation was just the tip of the iceberg in a complex of situations.

She also started Recall Healing and looking for the emotional causes behind it. In parallel, he recommended her walnut leaf sitz baths and to drink only diuretic tea, a mixture of bean sheaths, horsetail, cherry stalks, mousetail and corn silk. Two liters of this type of tea every day.

Little by little, he began to gain her trust. The client followed all the recommended protocol. On the fifth day of therapy, Friday, the client arrived 10 minutes early. He needed to use the restroom urgently. He went, and when he came out, he happily sought it with something in his hand: he had just removed the stone. He put it in a napkin to take it to the lab to see why it had formed. The second week he had an ultrasound before the operation. They could only find 2 extremely tiny little sandy specks, and obviously decided not to do the surgery.

Elena has completed 10 sessions of Thai Reflexology to give her the full treatment.

"This is just one of the many wonderful situations where Reflexotherapy can help so much. It is magic for anything meaning ailments of the internal organs, endocrine/hormonal system and nervous system. We even use it for people with Burnout , insomnia or wanting to conceive children. It helps a lot!

And finally, after Balinese ritual that I told you about here, it was time to experience Thai reflexotherapy. Obviously, like all spa enthusiasts, I did reflexotherapy. But Thai I had never tried.

Just like the day before, when I did Thai Therapy - which I told you about hereI got a suit. This time, it was full blue.

Doina, the therapist, invited me to sit in an armchair that is even more comfortable than it looks in the pictures. I had met her a few minutes before, at the end of the Balinese ritualwhen he came to give me that unique 4-hand massage.

She served me her herbal tea, and prepared the foaming water for the foot cleansing ritual.

After gently placing my feet in the warm water, I asked her what to expect from Thai Reflexology. What are the differences from classical reflexotherapy, apart from this moment of bathing the feet?

I have learned that the therapy protocol begins with a series of techniques to warm up and loosen the leg muscles. For a person with tired, swollen, heavy feet, the techniques are very pleasant, but the reason for starting this way is that this prior muscle loosening makes Reflexotherapy much more bearable than if one were to start directly massaging the reflexogenic points. Because the nerves that they want to stimulate are located under the musculature. It's also why it doesn't hurt.

But if a particular organ is in pain, then you feel pain, and the therapist makes sure that the pressure applied is gentle on those areas but effective.

In Thai reflexology, the part of the reflex point stimulation is done with a wooden stick or jade crystal.

In my case, he chose the wooden stick to respect the authenticity of authentic Thai massage as much as possible.

Doina told me that she can more easily reach reflexogenic areas on the soles that are small and difficult to stimulate with the fingers of the hands. She gave me as an example that between the toes - where the sinuses are - we find many points correlated with the head area.

What's more, the reflex therapy stick helps to much more effectively and deeply stimulate all organ reflexes in the sole and is a great finger-saving tool for the therapist.

And, indeed, it makes sense that a 1-hour reflexology session with just the hand will tire the hand joints more than a 2-hour Thai massage, because it is very demanding on the therapist's hand joints.

As I had recently sprained my left leg, it was hurting in certain areas. I asked her if one session would be enough to walk away from them with my ankle restored. But as I expected, despite the optimism that characterizes me, she replied that it's not a therapy that works overnight, from the first session.

It is a slow and safe therapy that stimulates the regeneration of internal organs.

For this reason, to see therapeutic results, several consecutive sessions must be done. It can also be applied occasionally, but only to those who want to do it preventively.

I also asked her how clients feel after Thai reflexology sessions.

I was thinking more along the lines of well-being, but Doina's answer was in exactly the opposite direction: good reflexotherapy, applied effectively, can cause several symptoms: you may urinate more often and more, a sign that your kidneys have started the process of detoxifying the body.

It can give mild headaches if the client doesn't hydrate well during and after the session, and this is due to toxins being flushed from the organs. Not drinking enough fluids - specifically water or unsweetened tea - doesn't help the kidneys eliminate these toxins.

You may also notice a worse sweat odor, because toxins are sweated out - through the skin.

But he assured me that sleep would be deeper and longer.

It's hard for me to describe step by step what it was like and what he did with his fingers and the wooden chopstick, but I invite you to watch the video I made with the help of the videos taken by Costel Nicolaie, și îi mulțumesc încă o dată pentru ajutor.
