Most clients ask me daily La Maison, what does it mean to cleanse the complexion....Well! Cleansing the complexion is the first, simplest and least expensive step in your daily skin care routine. Skin cleansing products are designed to remove excess sebum, sweat and impurities from the skin. Cleansing does not remove dead skin cells or blackheads.... and should not be confused with exfoliation. Cleansing prevents blocked pores and prepares the complexion for better absorption of products applied afterwards (regenerating ampoules, serums or creams).
Skin that is not cleaned properly and regularly, ends up looking dull, grainy and unhealthy over time.
On the cosmetics market there are a lot of products for cleansing the complexion, which are very clear!... They do not heal acneIt doesn't moisturize and doesn't remove blackheads.....These are strictly cleansing products that remove impurities. Often people with oily skin want a product that removes sebum, so they end up choosing very astringent cleansing products that contain sulfur, soap, various drugstore preparations of menthol, camphor and alcohol....Well, my dear ladies, I tell you that you are not doing good. These products do nothing but increase the amount of sebum, further deregulate the sebaceous glands and your complexion will look much more oily just 2h after applying such a product.
So choose a mild cleansing product with a pH between 5.5-6.0 that does not dry out your face and does not break the hydrolipidic film barrier. If the cleansing product is extremely aggressive, your face will suffer, and will relapse with painful pustules, flaking or even irritated areas.
So Attention!
Don't waste your money on cleansers that promise anti-aging or moisturizing effects with collagen or elastin. It is simply impossible for a product that stays on the skin for less than 1 minute to have any beneficial effects on the deeper layers.
Cleansere - or foaming cleansing gel, very beneficial for oily, seborrhea-prone skin prone to impurities. Apply a small amount of foam to the face, and rinse completely from the complexion. Leaves no film on the surface of the skin.
Special Cleansers - foaming gel cleansers containing specific ingredients for the relief of various skin conditions. All incorporate a basic antibacterial. Very good for acne-prone, oily skin with granular appearance and blackheads.
Cleansing Milk - the most popular cleanser of all time, it has a creamy texture and is suitable for dry, damaged, sensitive and very stressed skin. Caution. Oily skin should avoid it!
Cleansing wipes - these are wipes soaked in emollient substances, which usually leave a film on the surface of the skin. I personally don't recommend this type of cleansing, as frequent use can lead to irritation and an impure complexion.
Micellar solutions - are best sellers all over Europe and of great help in various situations. They ensure a good cleansing of the skin, the important thing is to rinse the face with plenty of water, as they leave a film on the surface of the skin.
Soap - extremely irritating, due to very high Ph (9-12). Adverse effects: reddening of the face, itching, dryness, good conductor of painful and inflamed pustules.
Stop! Soaps of any kind, whether mild or soap-based essential oils or moisturizing (also made by the saponification process).
Abrasive Brushes - They're all the rage, and they promise big dreams. Regardless of the type and cost of the product, they only help with the cleaning phase. Warning. The bristles of the brushes must be very soft, extremely soft, otherwise they can cause skin irritation.
Absolutely forbidden for acne, rosacea and sensitive skin.
Important! Use the abrasive brush at most once a week.

Anne
