Our pace of life takes its toll on the body, giving rise to fatigue and stress. In an attempt to combat these shortcomings, we resort to weekend getaways, vacations, a walk in the great outdoors or a gym membership. But did you realize you have a much simpler way to relax? What would you say if you found out that water can be your ally in achieving your relaxation goal? A spa jacuzzi makes it possible!

Jacuzzi is a swimming pool or hot tub, known as a SPA at home. This type of tub was invented in 1968 by Roy Jacuzzi, hence its name. It was the foundation hydrotherapy at home, a phenomenon then taken over by hotels and spas by relaxation. Through the Jacuzzi, hot water is used as therapy, with a constant temperature of 37 degrees.

But what is a Jacuzzi? A hot tub or a swimming pool provided with openings through which waves of hot air or hot water under pressure are pushed into the pool. The water is constantly filtered and there is an uninterrupted circuit - on the one hand, waves of pressurized hot water enter the pool, and on the other hand, the cooled water drains out of the pool to maintain the same water level and temperature at all times. The recommended time for a Jacuzzi session is 15-20 minutes.

Here are a few rules to make the most of your time in the jacuzzi:

  • Shower beforehand.
  • Dress in a bathing suit.
  • Place your towel near the pool.
  • Spice up your session with aromatherapy yes chromotherapy.

Main benefits

The Jacuzzi is primarily a method of relaxation and stress relief. But hot tubs also have health benefits. They can be used to treat aches and pains in muscles, joints and bones. The Jacuzzi also boosts metabolism, and people who use it regularly may find they lose weight faster. It is also good for people with blood circulation problems.

The warmth of the water also has a therapeutic effect - it stimulates the production of endorphins (a feel-good hormone) and blood circulation. The massage the water gives is gentle but has a powerful relaxing effect on the whole body. It takes away the feeling of heavy legs, as well as tension in the back and neck. The Jacuzzi also stimulates good quality sleep and has beauty benefits: it eliminates toxins from the skin and oxygenates tissues better.

In addition to Jacuzzi hydro-massage, Shiatsu hydro-massage is also known. The latter was developed with the help of Stefano Furan, an expert in oriental medicine, and has given rise to a whirlpool bath that replicates the ancient Shiatsu massage. Along the spine, 32 micro jets are placed to send a mixture of warm air and water that acts just like finger pressure. The micro-jets work from the bottom up for a toning massage and from the top down for a relaxing massage.

Good to know!

Shiatsu whirlpool baths are also equipped with Jacuzzi whirlpool. You can choose to enjoy one type of hydromassage or both at the same time. You can also choose the desired intensity: constant or variable.

Home or SPA

If you decide to buy a jacuzzi to benefit from it home, you have to answer a few questions:

- what will you use it for - therapeutic, relaxation, joint care?

- will it be installed outdoors or indoors? how many people will use it?

- what is the type of installation that has the space you are going to give it?
