Herculum Spa is part of Bacolux Afrodita, Herculane.
The hotel has 220 rooms, conference rooms, restaurants, terraces, indoor and outdoor playgrounds and a gaming area.
The spa features approximately 2000 square meters of spa and spa facilities. Its concept is to bring the spectacular nature of the area indoors. Thus the design incorporates many site-specific materials, using elements such as massive tree trunks of local species or panels of moss and vegetation from local flora.
Both in creating the design and in creating the menu of therapies we took into account the surrounding nature, its particularities, as well as the history and legends of the Cerna Valley that make this place truly unique.
Herculane has a history of 2000 years and this is reflected in its culture and spa traditions. It is said that the weary Hercules bathed in the healing waters of Herculane, regaining his powers to defeat the hydra. We still believe that the waters of Herculaneum are the solution for a modern Hercules in need of both recuperation and prevention to keep him healthy for many years to come.
In the Herculum Spa guests can enjoy the indoor heated swimming pool, 5 types of sauna, saline, hot pools, fitness room and relaxation areas and the little ones have their own aqua splash area, pool and saline exclusively for them.
The menu of therapies incorporates local ingredients and is inspired by its legends, whether it's the Aphrodite's Sauna's own blend of herbs or bathing using temperature contrasts, a traditional healing method inherited from the Romans who put the resort on the world map, Herculum Spa retains the authenticity of the place.
The spa has its own sulphurous thermal spring which is used both in spa therapies and in the medical segment of the spa, which offers complete spa therapies, guided by a complex medical team, coordinated by a balneologist.

I love the pools in the Caldarium area and the ones with jacuzzi. They are well maintained. So are the saunas. You get relaxation and diversity even for someone who can't swim. The staff is friendly. The spa at Bacolux Afrodita Resort is worth a try. I, at least, want to come back every time.
We had a great time at the Aphrodite.
